Still no elk, but a little fall color

I hadn't had much luck photographing Wisconsin elk near Clam Lake.

So I decide to try the fall color.

I found pockets of maple trees with beautiful leaves of gold and orange.

As a few clouds moved across the sky.

After photographing the colorful trees I resumed my search for elk before the sun set.

I didn't find any elk, but I did capture these jet contrails reflected in the water at sunset.

And a little bit of color just before dark.
